Group Texts in CrewTimeTrack

Group Texts lets you message a scheduled crew all at once — perfect for sending the week's schedule, reporting times, and gear reminders. It's organized around the Schedule: one conversation per scheduled job block, so the message goes to exactly the crew working that block — not everyone who has ever touched the job.

How conversations are organized

Pick a week and every scheduled block with crew assigned shows up as a thread. Pick a thread and you'll see the job, its dates, the jobsite lead, and the recipients — the crew assigned to that block. Two shifts on the same job are two separate conversations, so the night crew never gets the day crew's report time. Older conversations move to an Archived section as their weeks pass; nothing is deleted.

Sending a message

Open a conversation, type your message, and send it to the whole crew at once. A common use is the weekly kickoff — job number, jobsite, and report time in one text to everyone on the block. There's also a Schedule button on each conversation that jumps straight to that block on the calendar.

You can also start a message to a job's crew right from the Manpower sheet using Send group text on the job header, or from a block on the Schedule. Each worker also gets a private link to log their hours — see Employee timesheets.

Opting out

Crew can reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts (and HELP for help); CrewTimeTrack honors those automatically.

How replies work (important)

Group messages are a broadcast: every assigned crew member gets your message as an individual text from the CrewTimeTrack number, and their replies come back into the thread for you. Crew members currently do not see each other's replies — it works like you texting each person, gathered in one place, rather than a phone group chat. The page checks for new replies automatically, and unread replies show a count bubble on the thread list.

One-on-one Messaging

For direct conversations with a single crew member, use the Messaging page (above Group Messaging in the sidebar): pick a person, type a message or insert their timesheet link from the Actions menu, and their replies land in the same thread — with unread counts in the sidebar so nothing gets missed.
